Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
In applying for life insurance I had neglected to anser the employment part. The agent took it upon themselves without asking me to fill in this part of the form for me. I was denied the coverage I had asked for due to the agent's actions. Do I have any recourse against this insurance company?

I don't think you have any legal recourse against the company, but if you have proof that the agent's representations were made without your knowledge or permission you might be able to get the insurance agency to reconsider.

Did the agent answer the question incorrectly? If not, I cannot see how you would have any recourse, but obviously, I would need to see the relevant documents first.
