Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois

An attorney threatened to do, uh, something to me?

Sold an item on a 3rd party site to an attorney in California on Feb 13th. All individuals who buy a product from this site receive an email that gives an expected window of delivery. It informs customers that they should expect their item in 4 to 14 business days after the transaction date. 7 business days later, the attorney emails asking where the item is. Sent a reply back with shipping date (the 15th) and a tracking number. Was able to inform the attorney that the item was in transit.

4 business days after that, began to get threats of legal action, vague words as ''legal recourse based on fraud principles'' & ''this incident could likely unnecessarily escalate to a situation that you may not be able to recover from'' if money is not refunded immediately.

Mind you, these threats are received WITHIN the 14 business day expectation period.

What can this attorney do to me? What ''action'' is being threatened?

Just another example of why people do not like attorneys. My guess is, there isn't a thing he can do to you. He will get the item, and then crawl back under his rock.
