Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois

Boat Sell on Internet

We sold a boat and trailer for a friend on Ebay. The guy who bought looked it over before we received final payment, he bought it. 2 1/2 days later, he emails us saying he doesn't think it's worth what he paid for it and is claiming all kinds of problems with it,he wants a refund. The boat is 17 yrs. old and normal wear is expected-he thinks it should be presteen, are we required/obligated to have his money refunded? (Remember, it's not our boat, we don't have the money) Please Help. Thank You.

Re: Boat Sell on Internet

Unlikely that he will pursue this - it probably will not be worth it. Wait to see what happens. If he inspected it and now just thinks he overpaid, he doesn't really have any grounds. If you concealed something or otherwise, possibly. However, it is a lot for him to prove.
