Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
I bought an HDTV from an online retailer 2.5 years ago. I also purchases a 3-year bulb replacement warranty (it is a projection LCD TV). I recently had to call the warranty company, Repair Tech, to service the TV. They are no longer in business, and every indication online is that this was not a legitimate business. At this point, I don't know what my options are, given that I've already spent the $200 on the warranty. What can be done to recover these costs? Is the retailer liable for selling this warranty?

Have you tried to contact the retailer?
If not, them start there. Have all your documentation(receipts, invoices, etc.).
For $200 an attorney would not be economically prudent.
