Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
Used car finance man misrepresented add-on "service contracts" and "costs" and told me items were "compulsory." (They had been computer entered into a sales contract which my salesman did not draw up.) I still have title to my trade-in and need to get a copy to them. (They have my old car) Can I return new/used car or have the items ($5,000 worth) re-written out of the contract? Should I hang onto my old title?

Did you already sign the agreement? If so, you have a tough case--you would need to prove that you were defrauded.
