i was only suppose to be a co signer on a loan for a car come to find out the dealer put it through as me as the buyer.is there anything i can di to fix this . i was not even at the dealer ship when this took place i was called at work and ask to be a co signer on acar for my father in law and when i went to the dealer they told me i was only co signing but know it shows me as the actual buyer and this is messing up my credit trying to get a house loan

It would appear that the dealership might have performed a fraudulent act. I suggest you contact the dealership immediately but that probably will not resolve the matter in which case you will need to retain an attorney to file suit on your behalf. The other option you have is to contact the Illinois Attorney General Fraud division and see what they can do for you
