Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
car title
I paid the loan on my car off in 2001 and never got a release from the lending co., now I am trying to license it in another state and cannot with this company on the title. Ive tried to reach them, but with no avail, what do I do to get a title without theyre names on it?

You may be able to request a duplicate title from the Secretary of State. If the lender noted its lien on the title, you will documentation that the loan is paid in full. You may need a letter from the lender.
