Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
I changed my mind
I put $103.00 deposit on a used vehicle purchase totaling $1803.00, incl. tax, title, etc. This was done Sat. afternoon.
I have changed my mind and do not want to take delivery of the car. If I don't complete the transaction and stop payment on the deposit, can I be forced to complete the deal?

Re: I changed my mind
It depends what your agreement with the seller states. If you have agreed to buy the car, then you are generally bound to complete the purchase. Theoretically, a court could order you to remit the remaining balance to the seller.
