Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
Consumer Fraud
On 09.03.07 went to a local car dealership and test drove a SUV. Saleperson stated interest rate on this vehicle 1.9% through the end of September. On 09.14.07 I called the salesperson to confirm the 1.9% interest rate which he confirmed and even asked if needed a longer term. My husband and I went to the dealership and again discussed the 1.9% and test drove vehicle again. When it came time to do paperwork the rate was 6%. Our credit is excellent and requested 1.9%. Informed that 1.9% was not available on this SUV. How is this in accordance with IL Consumer Fraud Statue and fraud for misrepresentation? Is there any was to enforce receiving the 1.9% interest rate?
