Can i still get my deposit back from the car dealership.
Two months ago I have ordered a jeep wrangler and made a $500 deposit to the dealer. The car will be built 2nd week of January '07. I'm having financial problems right now.Can I get my deposit back? The dealer said I can't.

Hello and Happy New Year. Whether
you can legally rescind or cancel
the contract will depend largely on
the language of the contract. However, from your posting it appears
as if this jeep was specially ordered by you. Even though this is the case, you should write the dealer and explain that your financial situation will not allow you to buy the jeep now and request the return of your money. If the dealer says no, I suggests you contact the Office of the Illinois Attorney General (Consumer Fraud Division). I hope my response has been helpful.
