Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
Double booked event
In Jan 2008 we booked a local country club for a party for 150 people for June 14, 2008. Quite by accident yesterday when we called to finalize plans, we were told that they double booked and we would have to make other arrangements. Due to the late date, there are only 2 halls available, and either will cost an additional $3000.00. Is the original Country Club liable for any of this added cost?

Re: Double booked event
It is certainly possible. I would suggest contacting a local attorney to look over any documents you have and discuss your possible remedies.
