Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois

Exploding ''Break Resistant - Microwave Safe Dish''.

Yesterday I had been microwaving a Break Resistant plate in which it is clearly printed on the outside of the box along with another advertisment on the box that states that it is ''Safe for use in microwave and dishwasher''. I had microwaved my food for 1 minute 30 sec , then took my food out then suddenly it exploded in my hand. The glass went everywhere including my mouth , I did not get cut however. Can I still Sue this large Corporation for Consumer Liability or anything such as false advertisment?

Technically, you may have a warranty claim but if it did not injure you or you have suffered no trauma, you may find it hard to get an attorney to represent you.
