My grandfather passed away he had a insured policy 5000 but the company want released it

Insufficient information. Who owned the policy, who is the beneficiary, is the insurance company saying they want a release to give out the proceeds? Normally the insurance company will want one, but to be safe you may want to have an attorney review it, especially if grandpa owned it - technically it is part of his estate.
