Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
home renovation contract
I received a loan in the amount of 26,400 as part of purchasing my home. I gave the contractor half the money up front because he said he had to buy materials. He started the work he was doing such a poor job so I fired him. He has refused to produce any any receipts or invoices or the remaining monies.
