Household goods purchase

Over the weekend I purchased an electric stove. It was delivered on Tuesday to my home but the plug did not fit the outlet that is in our kitchen. I called the store to let them know and they said that they would give me a cord that would fit if I brought them a design of my outlet. I have no way of attaching he cord. Can I return the stove and get my money back or do they have to send someone out to replace the cord? What legal recourse do I have?

Unless the seller gave you some kind of guarantee that the stove would plug into your existing outlet, I think you are stuck with the stove. I do not see how the seller is responsible for the type of outlet you have. I would consider myself fortunate that the seller was going to such extra effort to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase.
