Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
My husband put a deposit down on a van, at a car dealership. He could not take possession of the vehicle until it was paid in full. The car dealership sold the van, and is refusing to give my husband his 3,000.00 back. No where in the contract does it say they keep the deposit if the sale does not happen. They are trying to force him to take an in store credit. Is this legal? We are in Illinois.
