Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois

Kitten very sick because of cheap bottle nipple.

I am just wondering.. there probably isn't anything I can do about this but I just want to make sure. We found this stray kitten and we bought a infant pet nurser to feed it.

While feeding the kitten bit off the end of the nipple, swallowed it, and is now in critical condition. The kitten was definitely not weaning age and I just want to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone elses kitten. Not to mention the vet bill will be outrageous! Very worried about my little kitty & mad at the bottle company!!!

First of all, you should be commended for helping a little stray kitten, and taking him to your vet. Not many people would go to such lengths. I would certainly contact the retailer who sold it, as well as the manufacturer, along with copies of your vet bills. As long as the amount is less than $10,000, you could sue them in small claims. You might also try contacting an attorney in your area, especially if there are others who have had problems with this product. I would also suggest searching the internet to see if you can find other people who have had similar problems. Good luck with the kitten, and thank you for caring.
