Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
lemon law
i bought a used 1998 oldsmobile from a dealer. in the first week it started making engine noise. i took in the day after it started making engine noise to have an oil change.
(bought it on friday and by thursday) the guys at the oil and lube place said it was junk and to take it back. i did, the guy who sold it to me said i bought it as is. he said to
take it to his mechanic to see what was wrong with it ( i did not do this, I had this guy fix two other cars and they both blew the engine shortly there after. going into my third week of owner ship, on a monday the car engine blew up. does the lemon law reqire him to take the car back???
I have ten days left to get anything done, if it is possible to get anything done. can you help me???
thank you,
linda

Re: lemon law
The Illiois lemon law does not cover used vehicles. The following is the web site to the Illinois Attorney General regarding the lemon law.
