Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
medical treatments without prscription
My wife was prescribed to undergo physical therapy by her doctor for a period of 6 treatments. After the authorized treatments were completed, additional physical therapy treatments were furnished by this provider without a perscription from her doctor.
Is she liable to pay this out of pocket expense for these extra treatments even though no doctors precription was authorized?

Re: medical treatments without prscription
I am not sure I understand the question. If she received treatments, she is responsible for paying for them--whether or not it was recommended by her physician. Whether her insurance company will cover these treatments depends on her policy.
