Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
A few months ago I received a credit on my Internet bill for $25. Now when I get the month bill there isn't a monthly fee. It only shows the 25 dollar credit. When they catch the error am I responsible for past service?

Yes you technically will be, because they are providing you a service for which you have agreed to pay for. Their failure to bill you for it does not excuse you from having to make those payments.
However, the possibility remains that they may not discover their error, or that when they do discover the error they will start billing from that time period rather than requiring all previous payments to be made.
