Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
Odometer Rollback
I bought a 1999 Honda Accord in July. Now I am moving out of state and am trying to sell the vehicle. I gave the VIN number to a potential buyer and ran a Carfax report. The report says that the odometer has been rolled back. I called the dealer and told them of this and they said they do not roll odometers back. I feel like they either rolled the odometer back or knew the odometer was rolled back when they sold me the car. What can I do? I mean, I bought the car ''As is,'' but that was assuming the ''is'' was factual!
