Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
I had a pool installed by a professional pool company in July of 1997. I obtained a city permit for the work to be done at that time. I had a fence company install a fence a year ago, and my back neighbor wanted me to hook up to his fence and pay for half of the back of his fence. It turns out that the pool is installed against city code, right on my property line. My "neighbor", has gone to the city complaining of water in his back yard, stating it is the fault of my ilegally intalled pool. The city states I must move the pool by May 1st. I called the pool company and they are denying any responsibility in this matter stating they place pools where the costumers want them. Do I have any rights here!

In this situation it MAY be worth hiring an attorney to write a demand letter on your behalf.
You may also want to look at any papers you may have signed with the pool co.
