Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois

private sale

i had an add in the newspaper for an entertainment center. i lady came and purchased it. now 4 days later she wants to return it because she says oh my tv doesn't fit. what should i tell her? i don't want to do that.

What you tell her is up to you. Unless you had some agreement that she could return it, I cannot see you have any obligation to refund her money. On the other hand, she might make your life miserable, so it might just be easier to give her her money back and sell it to someone else.
