Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
I purchased a vehicle from a dealer which had cooling issues that the dealer promised to fix. When they couldn't fix it it was sent to another shop. The shop fixed blown head gaskets for $2700 which the dealer paid for. When i got it back the same issues persisted. the shop then said it also had a blown head gasket for $5500. they fixed it and now the dealer wont pay. my question is who is liable, the dealer since they promised to fix the car, or the shop since they didn't fix it completely the first time? And do i have any kind of case at all?

If your car was a brand new vehicle you may have a claim under the "lemon law".
