Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
I had been refused a reservation at a resort after writing an unfavorable review on trip advisor. Since then I divorced and remarried. I made a reservation with the same resort using my new married name and they accepted it. It will be fully paid prior to our stay. Can the resort refuse me the room anyway once I arrive and they see who I am. This is a small resort and the management knows their former guests well. What other recourse if any could they have?

It depends on where the resort is located, but most likely they can refuse to let you stay there. As far as what other recourse they could have, depending on what you said, there also could be defamation claims. The bigger question is why you would want to stay at a place when you felt the need to tell the world how bad it was?
