Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
Retail
I purchased a receiver from a local retailer for $499 dollars. A week later I received a invoice from them for an additional $1000 dollars. Come to find out they sent me home with a more expensive receiver. Can they legally do this? I have a stamped receipt with two stamps showing it was checked twice and I was given the correct product. Now they are threating me with collections because I refuse to pay for it. I feel it was there mistake and they never even bothered to call me. They just sent me a invoice. Do I have any legal grounds to stand on?

Re: Retail
Why can't you return the receiver and get the one you paid for? There are many problems with this deal. Bring it back. You know they made a mistake so be honest.
