Settlement Objection
In an anti-trust lawsuit with two defendants, one defendant is attempting to settle with the plaintiff. The other defendant is objecting to the settlement. How is this done and what are the consequences for the parties involved?

Well the defendant who is settling will give something to the plaintiff in exchange for having charges dropped against that defendant. The other defendants can still be sued, and may now have to deal with the "early-bird" threatening to testify against them. There a lot of complicated issues involved with this kind of case and settlement discussion, and I recommend hiring an attorney.
