I signed a contract to have my bathroom remodeled. I have not been approved for financing. No work has been done. Can a lien be placed against my home.

If no work has been done, and no materials have been provided to you, they should not be able to record a valid mechanics lien. However, if they sue you under the contract and win, they may be able to record a judgment lien. An attorney would need to review your contract to give you specific advice regarding the best course of action.
