Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
Store Cedit/Refund
I recently purchased an item from a store that has a policy that they will only give store credit, not a refund, unless required by law. I know that this is a legal policy, but my question was whether the law in Illinois provided for a refund. Thanks

In most circumstances, there is no legal requirement that a store take items back from customers at all. For customer satisfaction reasons, most do, which leads many to believe they are required to do so. Your choice is to accept their policy, or shop elsewhere.
