What law states how long a landlord has to fix a furnished applience?

I do not believe there is a law which states the exact amount of time. However as in most cases it would be a reasonable amount of time. If we are talking weeks or months then that would not be acceptable in my opinion. I would speak with your landlord and inform him or her that if the appliacance is not repaired or replaced then you will either buy a reasonable priced applicance and send the landlord the bill or tell him that you feel you should beable to hold back a portion of the rent.
