Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
Hi. my uncle took me in when i was 18 because i was down on my luck. he offered to pay for schooling and transportation for me. the deal was, i would only have to pay him 7k for the car + the insurance when i was finished with school. the car is not under my name and was 18k brand new. i recently found out about some major issues with my family and now i cannot stay with this sick man. if i were to move to another state, would he be able to sue me for breach of a verbal agreement?

I THINK you are asking, if you have an enforceable oral contract with someone, and you move out of state, can that person sue you. If this is your question, the answer is yes. Obviously, there are details of which I am not aware, for example, was your contract enforceable, so to get a specific answer, you should discuss your situation with an attorney.
