Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois
vehicle title
I made a verbal agreement to buy a vehicle. Seller sends me the title completely signed over 100% correct and a bill of sale that is wrong. I never pay them because the BOS is wrong which they then refuse to send a new one. 2 months later I bring the title to the DMV and they say the title is good enough for me to me to retitle the vehicle in my name. It was stupid of them to send the title like that to begin with but the question is am I facing type of illegal problems here by retitling this vehicle in my name.

Re: vehicle title
What was wrong with the bill of sale? You agreed to pay them x amount, is there a reason the BOS prevents you from paying that amount? Was the amount different?
