Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I got a 45 days prosecuted settlement from a Law firm. I just want to get a settlement before any procedure against me. It seems what I offer to them is never enough and they want more money from me.

I am not familiar with the term "prosecuted settlement." Could you give me more details? If you are the defendant in a claim for a debt, then you are looking for a satisfaction and release.
