Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
I have a $15000.00 judgment I am trying to collect. I live in Colorado ( judgment was filed here) and have found the person that owes me the money in Illinois (he lived in Colorado at the time). He has recently collected a large sum on a injury lawsuit and is now on disability. I have also found out the numerous vehicles he owns including a Harley Davidson motorcycle & a large Camper & all monies he has in his 81 yr old grandmother's name with papers drawn up that if anything happens to her it will all go to his 15 yr old daughter. He may have very recently purchased home the same way. He refuses to put anything in his name because of the judgment. Is there anything I can do to collect the money I am owed?

Yes. You can register the Judgment in Illinois. Then you can file to set aside any transaction transferring the debtor's interest in any asset as a fraudulent transfer. Please feel free to contact me if you would like a free telephone consultation.
