Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
2 years ago I opened an account with a retail store to help my daughter establish credit. The account was opended for $300 and my daughter was a co-applicant. Without my knowledge, the limit on the account was increased to $6000 and the card was changed to a visa. My daughter became delinqent and ultimately stopped paying. Now I am being sued for the $6000. Do I have any legal recourse since I did not authorize them to increase the limit nor change the card to a Visa?

You need to carefully review the account agreement. Your arrangement with the issuer of the card is a contract and depends on what you signed.
