Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Hi

Someone is using my name and address to make credit cards and didn't pay the balance.

I have been getting phone calls from collection agencys for long time. I even reported identy theft case to police.

Now, I just got letters from local law office, one of collection company filed a lawsuit against me.

What can I do?

File an appearance and contest the cl;aim. If you do nothing a judgment will be entered against you. Be prepared to prove it is not you.
