Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Alternatives to open new credit

In the midst of repairing my primary credit rating, is there anything I may do to establish an alternative or secondary line of credit?? I've destroyed previous credit cards for 7+ years now and my current vocation requires travel. Recently the company plastic had become ''disfunctional'' which as you might imagine is instant hardship when you've landed 1,200 miles from base and are expected to complete objectives with time constraints! So I'm seeking some type of minimum limit credit card for vehicle rentals and hotel reservations.

Debit or check cards are undesireable because actual withdrawls are taken from their accounts and remain unavailable for personal use (for which they are retained) for excessive amounts of time.

What about applying for new credit using a middle name perhaps, or an addition or subtraction to the spelling of the last name (without changing pronounciation)? Or are names irrelevant to credit providers, as the SS# is the primary identifier of individuals?

What may I do besides either paying thru the nose for a high annual fee, moderate to extreme APR credit card or seeking another vocation??

Re: Alternatives to open new credit

To begin with do not attempt to obtaiin a credit card by using your middle name or dropping a few letters off of your last name or any other thing like that because that is called credit card fraud and is a serious criminal matter.

My advice is to search the internet high and low and see what credit cards are out there provides what you need.
