car hauler repossesion

i have a car hauler we were paying on - the business closed doors, so we had to chase them for payment- they never recorded our payments right and could never provide proof of title- now they sent us to collections and the agency and them are contacting us and threating repossession. can they have the best of both worlds?

You said, WERE paying on, did you stop paying? You didn't say whether you paid in full.
