Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
Is there a case?
My sister lent my niece $7500.00 five years & 2 months ago. My niece wrote a bounced check to my sister on the very first year. Up until now, my sister had not received any repayment for the money borrowed. My niece's parents said that they would pay the debt for my niece & asked that my sister not to ask my niece for the money back. After this many years, my niece's parents denied all of the assumption of repaying my sister.
Does my sister have a case?
Thanks!

Re: Is there a case?
Did your sister have a written loan agreement with your niece? If not, why not? Did your sister have a written agreement with your niece's parents? Why did your sister wait more than three years to file a lawsuit against your sister? This reply does not constitute legal advice because you are not as yet my client.
