Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Child Support Payments

I have child support garnished from my checks, however, most of the money is not getting to the mother of my children. ADP is the company handing the distribution of the check. There was an issue where the mother's name was entered, which was wrong, it was supposed to be payable to Wisconsin. The correction was supposed to be made, but the checks are still being rejected by Wisconsin, and there is no explaination as to why. I feel like someone is not giving the whole story, meantime, the money is still coming out of my check and not reaching the mother, it's up to $1000 worth of checks. I have called ADP to find out what was happening and ADP is saying that it's on Wisconsin's end, and Wisconsin is saying that it's on ADP's end. What can I do?

Re: Child Support Payments

My first thought (and I'm not licensed in Wisconsin so I don't know the Wisconsin disbursement system) that a new notice to withhold should probably be sent to ADP to make sure they are sending it to the write place in regards to the right person, etc. If you have an attorney, give them a call about this.
