Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

collection agency suing for unknown debt

My daughter is being sued by a collection agency for an unknown debt, she ignored the notice they sent last year because she didnt have an outstanding she knew of and after calling them they did not give her any answers. a year later she gets a summons. She filed her appearance, the court date is coming should she be represented?

How can a company sue without letting you know details?
