Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Collection of Credit Card Dispute Resolved ''debt''

i bought a product from company x, company x did not send the product as described and i contacted my credit card to file a dsipute, the dispute was resolved in my favor and the charge was reversed off my credit card permanently. Now, 4 months later, the company x is saying they are gong to turn the ''debt'' over to a collection agency, can they do that? It was resolved through the credit card and doesnt this mean it is not owed? What can they actually do t my credit/assets if they dont have my social security number, all they have is an old address and my name. How can i dispute the debt validity?

You should dispute in writing the debt that they claim is still owed and along with this send proof of the charge back effected by your credit card company in your favor and the fact that the company apparently never sent you the product which you had expected to receive.
