Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

collector attorneys

Does a lawyer firm that acts primarily as a debt collector have to be licensed as a collector? In my state collectors have to be bonded...but when I looked for them in the Dept of Professional Licensing...They're not there?
