Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

College Loans

I attended a college and unoffically

dropped out of it and decided to go to

anotha school. Now the school is saying I

have to pay bac the FinAid loans of $4000.

Collection Agency has said I have to pay a

deposit of $1002 or its sent to there Legal

department. My question is: Do I have to

pay dat amount or can I make any amount

possible, and can dey really take me to

court? Because I don't have a job or no

assets and I'm a student?

It would depend on the terms of the promissory note you signed when you received the financial aid. I am guessing you are not an English major?
