Credit Card debt

I received a summons on a credit card debt that is 6-7 years old. Is there a statute of limitations on credit card debt? I have not made a payment on this since that time.

If it is not the original credit card company suing you but rather a debt colletor, go to court, deny the debt and request a trial.
