Credit Card - Is it an Open Account or Written Contract in Illinois

I have been dunned by a debt collector for a credit card debt which has aged 8 years. Debt was written off by bank. In Illinois, is the Statute of limitation reached on this debt? Debt does not appear in my credit report.

A credit card account is a written contract and the statute of limitations is 10 years.
