Credit cards & Collection Agency

Credit card company and I agreed on settlement account via electronic checks. Company withdrew large some of money from my account according to our settlement agreement. When I got to the last payment, Credit card company said that I defaulted and balance escalated back to the original balance. The balance never decreased. Collection company calls, wants to settle account via post dated check via electronic check also. Afraid to try again. Any advice?
