Old credit cards
I want to know what can i do if i' am being suied by a scavenger collector on a old credit card debt that the statue of limitations has run out on i' am in illinois and the statue is 5 years the card was orig received in 2001 it is well over the statue for this state but i' am still being suied

What you do is make sure to show up at the court date and contest it based on the statute of limitations. I don't know what county the case is, but some judges are sticklers for procedure and expect you to file an appearance in order to contest it, so make sure to get your appearance filed as soon as possible and contest the debt.

Tell the creditor to take a hike. If they refuse to stop calling you, contact the FDIC.
