My daughter lent her boyfreind $2000.00, She agreed and had him sign a paper stating he would pay her back in full,, its been 3 months--no money yet..He keeps evading her, Whats her options, can she represent herself in court? Thank you John

She can sue him, keeping in mind that he will probably become an EX-boyfriend at some point in the process, that she will need to pay a filing fee, that she will need to have him served (which might be done via certified mail in some cases), and even if she wins, it will be up to her to collect on her judgment. One very important point she will need to address: What did the "paper" say with regard to when the money needed to be repaid?
