Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois
Debt
My boyfriend used to live in WI. Now they are attempting to collect on old debt for infractions such as disorderly conduct. The county is billing him for debts more than 10 years old, some b-fore he was even of age. Does the statue of limitations on debt include a state or county government. If so he would not have to pay them.

Re: Debt
I don't know how it is defined in Wisconsin law, but typically, if it is for a criminal case, there is no statute of limitations as to when the debt would expire.
